It is a blessing that I have so much to write about and so many photos to share that I don’t know where to start. Let’s go back to Monday evening and start there.
Cheryl, Elise and Brooke came over to party with Alex and sent Drew & I on a date. When we got home a couple of hours later, Alex’s nails were painted and they had pictures as proof of their fun.
How’s that for fun?! Drew and I then decided that we would open our gifts to each other and one for Alex. Alex went first and got a set of stacking cups like the ones she enjoys during therapy. Check out those awesome leg warmers that Cheryl gave her… awesome!
Then Daddy… What’s this? I have no idea…
It’s a smoker!
My turn. I have no idea what is in that box.
It’s a Fit Bit!!!!
What a fella I have. He remembered me talking about it months ago and doing some research, then deciding I wanted a Fit Bit over a Nike Fuel band. It’s awesome and I’m excited about it! He has since set it up to sync with the computer and my phone and I can now track my activity, steps, miles, calories and sleep patterns. It’s awesome and I think it will really help me to stay motivated and push harder in 2014!
On Christmas Eve had a fun time playing with the dogs. You know how so many people have that Elf On A Shelf for their kids during Christmas? Well, we have a Shi Tzu elf. Beat that!
I had to run to Wal-Mart for a few last minute things (gasp!) and splurged on hats for Foose and Toto. Foose is a spaz and shook his off in record time, but Toto was such a good sport. He went from the kitchen, where I put it on him, to the couch where Drew was holding Alex. He laid his head on her as if he knew that we were doing it for her and he was willing to play along.
THAT is why we love our dogs so much.
I spent Christmas Eve day doing a lot of cooking and preparing for my family to come over that evening. So, I’ll make the next post about my family’s gathering. Stay tuned.
