Whew...

It's been a fussy week around the Harris house, so I've gotten little done that couldn't be done while holding Eleanor.  But, we have made a few changes and yesterday and today have been better.  Let me see if I can blog the shower photos from last weekend while E is content.

Misty & Eleanor
Our gift from Misty (and d├ęcor for the shower and now for Eleanor's room), complete with a photo from our newborn session with Nikki Toth (which I still need to share with you all).
Misty & Jessica set us up with a beautiful shower and yummy treats for our guests.  It was all just lovely.

We got so many lovely gifts.   I chose this picture because I'm making a sassy face at how much I imagine Emma loving these zebra pajamas for the baby.

She E started getting fussy (I let everyone pass her around who wanted a turn!) I gave her to Misty.  When I realized I didn't know where my baby was, I went hunting and found this.  She was chillin in her bedroom floor with Kayla, just happy to be left alone!
And when it was all over and our guests were gone, I got to hold my own baby again.  She was as happy to see me as I was to see her!
It was a lovely shower with family and a few close friends and I'm so grateful.

Holy fussy baby, Batman!

I'm not even really a classic Batman fan, but that phrase seems appropriate right now. In the 5 or 6 days our quiet and sleepy little girl has been a little fussy and much more vocal about it. A text conversation between me & Drew today...
While she's having morebmoments of fussiness than she didn't during her first two weeks of life, it's not THAT bad. And she loves her Momma. We spend a lot of time snuggled up because it makes her feel better. Makes me feel pretty good, too.
My lovely sister in law threw a shower for family on Saturday and I have lots of photos to share, but as is typical, you will have to wait until I can sit down at the computer to share them (because we all know I'm blogging from my phone while Eleanor lays on my chest).
So just some phone snap shots, because this baby makes some of the sweetest, silliest, cutest, and funniest faces I've ever seen.
And for the finale? Foose. I'm a fan of dog shaming photos and he deserves one right now.
"I steal pacifiers and hide them completely in my mouth while the baby cries and Mom frantically searches for the pacifier that she KNOWS she just had."

Big Camera

Pictures from the big camera from the last week or so...
Drew's had Toronto people in town for business all week, so he's not been home as much as we have grown accustomed to.  Eleanor was happy for a little Daddy time in the evenings.

The Hardin's came to visit on Wednesday evening.  Mollie can't get enough.
For perspective: this was Mollie with Alex & Emma in 2010...
and at Christmas in 2009...
I wish I could find one from earlier, but I think you get the idea... Mollie and the Harris Girls have been buddies for a long time and it doesn't look to change any time soon.  The difference?  This time Mollie is old enough to baby sit!  Carrie sort of got ripped off in the baby snuggles department.  Eleanor is crying, but Carrie was still smiling.
Now for the funnies part... I laid Eleanor on Ron's chest and she just melted right in to him.  Ron isn't a man of many words, but he may have been silently gloating a tiny bit :)
 And just because she's pretty...
When Drew got home this evening, after a long week of meetings and being out of the house, he was more than anxious to snuggle down with his little girl, and she with him.

Just pictures

How about a few pictures from the last two days?
Sleeping beauty.
I think this bow may be a tad bit large.
She LOVES the K'tan carrier and I can get some things done while still snuggling my baby. Look at this contentment.  And those cheeks. Seriously, those cheeks!
I have some photos in the big camera and I'll try to share those soon.

Chunkier

Our little girl can't quite be classified as a chunk, but she sure is chunkier. Yesterday's doctor appointment went great, she's healthy and growing. She's up to 6 pounds 2 ounces!! I mean, just check her out...
Timmy time. She picks her head up and can turn it side to side. She's obviously a genius.
She intentionally makes eye contact and follows our faces when we move. She turns to the sound of our voices. Like I said, she's obviously a genius!
Snuggles with Daddt. Notice they are both sticking their tongues out. I didn't even catch that on purpose, but it's adorable.
Funny faces.
Sitting up like a big girl.
We are hoping to get an Ergo carrier soon (Drew & I could both wear it), but I've been wanting a K'tan, so I bought myself one. It's much easier to use than a wrap, I feel like Eleanor is quite secure & snuggled in, and she loves it.  The look on her face is relaxation. I promise.
And look what awesome gift showed up on my door step yesterday! The jogging stroller I wanted!! I'm so excited!  Thanks Uncle Casey & Aunt Sasha! We can't wait to try it out.
What? You mean you don't have a fan club to hang out with you in the bathroom? You poor things. I'm so cool that I have a baby & 2 dogs (toto does whatever he wants) who follow me everywhere. Yes, even the bathroom.
I went to Grandpa's this morning. He is in love with my daughter. Seriously, he can't get enough. I was making him something to eat while he held her and then she started fussing. I took him the pacifier, went back to the kitchen, and she quieted down. When I came back into the room I found them both quite content... With Eleanor's pacifier upside down in her mouth. I didn't have the heart to tell him and it was working just fine, but I did sneak a picture.
And I believe this could be filed under "milk drunk".
