Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a big day for us... the court date for Eleanor's adoption!  I'll have more on that tomorrow. For now, I have a week's worth of pics to share.
Sometimes, when Drew has a quiet moment in the work day, we like to sneak into his office for a little visit.
She's finally grown in to her puppy dog hat and last week it was cold enough to need it. I can hardly handle the cuteness. She got to show it off when we went to Kayla's last volleyball games of the year last week.

When we left the gym, it was snowing! It didn't last long and it didn't accumulate, but it was Eleanor's first snow and it was beautiful. Misty knows me well enough that I didn't even have to ask her to take a picture, when I turned around she was waiting with her phone.
Our neighbors brought Elenaor a toy for Christmas, which is super sweet.  It's ideal for sitting and playing, but she's having fun rolling to it and trying to chew on the pieces, too.
Last night I had a hankering for sugar cookies. I made the cookies, slightly altering a recipe from Drew's family to fit what I had available (i.e. More butter and no shortening) and they were pretty yummy. We both decided they needed icing, but I didn't have any Karo to try the new recipe I found. So I got some today, made tons of icing (and a huge mess in my kitchen!) and this evening we decorated cookies just because we felt like it. Eleanor had a toy to play with in her booster seat and it seems she has realized what fun it is to drop it and watch Daddy pick it up. Look at the satisfaction on her face as Drew reaches for it again.
Imagine how happy she will be next year when she can have one of those cookies!
When we finally thought to use the ring on the toy to attach to her seat belt, she could no longer drop the toy to the floor and spent a lot of time peeking over the edge and trying to figure that out.
Now we've ironed our clothes for court in the morning. we are all bathed & in our pajamas and just waiting for this gal to tell us we can all sleep!
