Remember

I accidentally left my phone in Eleanor's room when I put her to bed last night, so I had to wait until she was good & asleep before I snuck back in to find it... and I took the opportunity to stop and admire. Geez, she's sweet when she's sleeping. (Also, I got lucky that when the flash unexpectedly went off, it didn't wake her!)

Remember just a month ago when I had a cute picture of Eleanor to share every Sunday? That's really hard now because she won't stand still. Heck, she won't even stand if you want her to. She just goes limp and refuses to support her own body weight. The only picture I have of her this morning is of her sitting in her rocker and holding her comb to her face (which makes her look a little like a walrus). Oh, this sassy girl! Not posed and poised, but perfectly Eleanor.

Drew is on his way home from Auburn, so Eleanor and I went church on our own this morning. As I was getting us ready and out the door, I couldn't help but think of all the many times I did that alone with Alex & Emma when Drew was in the Army. Y'all, that was a job.
Eleanor was excited to be at church this morning. As I was checking her in she was anxiously wiggling to get down and kept saying "play!" This was her first week being bumped up to the classroom with the walking toddlers. She's getting a bit more confident in her walking and we decided being with the other walking kiddos would only help encourage her along. After worship I went to pick her up and she was cruising along the wall of cabinets, trying each one to see if it was child locked (they all were). So mischievous! Her new teacher said, "She's a talker!" I have a feeling we'll be hearing that a lot from her teachers over the next 18 years. Also, she spent a good deal of the class blowing kisses to everyone. Yep, that's my girl.
